Pedra, “Festival de Saberes”, The Festival of rural Wisdoms

The principal objective of this action was to highlight the lesser known heritage of the Camiño de Santiago – Vía da Prata with the aim of moving the public and pilgrims from the best known areas of the Way, such as Santa Mariña de Augas Santas, to other more unknown areas such as Amiadoso or Ouvigo, but with a great heritage and literary value.

Narratives on the Silver Way and nearby variants

This narrative aims to offer pilgrims and tourists a different experience while they walk through the Silver Way by reviewing the rich literary of the surrounding rural areas. Each narrative revolves around the life and work of one writer (local or international) who has some links to the traversed territory.

Revaluation of local heritage placed along and nearby pilgrimage ways

Local heritage can provide unique opportunities for economic development, but also for a more-balanced distribution of the benefits of pilgrimage ways. The revaluation of local heritage should start with an understandings of their values, which is possible through documentation of the heritage values of rural assets placed in the vicinity of European pilgrimage ways. Documentation is the basis for an effective management, but documentation through cataloguing and inventories should consider their complexity and their final use by both specialists and non-specialists.
